This Certificate has been designed for those NVQ/SVQ Level 4 holders who have an Advice and Guidance or LDSS award (QCF Level 4 (NVQ) Diploma in Information and Advice is not eligible) and wish to conditionally join the UK Register of Career Development Professionals or up skill their knowledge to include three specified QCF Level 6 units on Career guidance theory, reflect on and improve professional practice and use career and labour market information with clients.
These elements correspond to three units in the QCF Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development: Unit 2 (Reflect on and improve professional practice), Unit 3 (Career guidance theory), and Unit 6 (Use career and labour market information).
Learners can be seen individually or in small groups at their workplace.
For individuals, coaching skills are used by qualified assessors to develop knowledge and understanding required when working directly with clients. For groups of learners, formal training sessions can be facilitated.
All learners will be observed in the workplace interviewing a client and both written and verbal feedback is provided to the learner by the assessor.
Written assignments are required for this qualification.
