Who Is the CCGT For?

This qualification is specifically for professionals who completed a Level 4 career guidance qualification before 2011 and want to progress to Level 6. The CCGT is not a general entry-level qualification. It is a specialist progression route for a defined group of practitioners. Entry Requirements

Entry to the CCGT requires a Level 4 career guidance qualification obtained before 2011. The specific qualifications accepted are confirmed on a case-by-case basis. Contact us with details of your existing qualification and we will confirm eligibility.

What the Qualification Involves

The CCGT focuses on the theoretical underpinning of career guidance work, developing a deeper understanding of career development theory and its application to professional practice. Three core units (2, 3 & 6) from the Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance & Development make up this certificate. Assessment is through written work and evidence of professional application.

Professional Register & Next Steps

Completing the CCGT, alongside the appropriate practical experience, supports access to the CDI's Professional Register. For many practitioners, that is the primary reason for pursuing this qualification. The Level 4 and LEVEL 6 Certificate in Career Guidance & Theory equate to the Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance & Development
