Who Is This Qualification For?

This qualification is for people working in, or moving into, an assessor role in vocational education and training. It is suitable for those assessing competence in the workplace, those assessing vocational skills and knowledge in a classroom or training setting, or those working across both.

How the Qualification Is Achieved

The Level 3 qualification is achieved through completing the required combination of units. The three qualifications and their unit combinations are as follows:
Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment
Understanding the principles and practice of assessment
Assess occupational competence in the work environment
Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement
Understanding the principles and practice of assessment
Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
Understanding the principles and practice of assessment
Assess occupational competence in the work environment
Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding

How the Qualification Is Delivered

Learner assessors can be seen individually or in small groups at their workplace. For individuals, coaching skills are used by qualified assessors to develop the knowledge and understanding required. For groups of learner assessors, formal training sessions can be facilitated.
Coaching appointments and training are booked to suit learners through Microsoft teams meetings.

Centre Support & Progression

RGG Associates handles all administration with NOCN on your behalf. We explore funding opportunities with individuals and organisations, and all coaching appointments and training are arranged around your schedule.
Having gained experience as an assessor, you may want to qualify as an Internal Verifier by undertaking the Level 4 qualifications in Internal Quality Assurance. RGG Associates offers that qualification too.
