Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development

The professional benchmark for qualified careers advisers. Completed in 12 months, delivered live online. For school and college careers staff, local authority advisers, and CEIAG practitioners looking to formalise their professional status or develop their practice.

Level 4 Diploma in Career Information and Advice

For practitioners providing career information and advice without a formal qualification. A recognised professional starting point with a clear route to Level 6 progression.

Level 6 Certificate in Careers Triage Interviewing

Specialist training for education professionals who conduct initial careers conversations and refer young people to qualified advisers. Suitable for tutors, pastoral staff, librarians, and student support staff.

Mandatory Units

For practitioners who have completed the OCR-accredited Level 6 Certificate in Careers Leadership and want to progress towards the full Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development. Contact us to understand how your existing study counts and plan the next step.

Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

For professionals leading or managing the internal quality assurance of assessment within their organisation or assessment centre. Covers the principles and practice of IQA, assuring the quality of assessment, and leading a quality assurance team. Delivered at your workplace.

Level 6 Certificate in Careers Leadership

Accredited training for careers leaders in schools and colleges. Supports the strategic leadership of careers provision in line with the Gatsby Benchmarks. CEC funding may be available for eligible learners. Registration for the funding is through the Careers and Enterprise Company.

Level 6 Certificate in Career Guidance Theory (CCGT)

A targeted progression route for holders of certain pre-2011 Level 4 career guidance qualifications. Supports access to the CDI Professional Register. Speak to us first to confirm eligibility before applying.

CPD Workshops

Short professional development sessions for careers professionals. Practical, current, and delivered live online. Topics include using AI in careers work, advanced coaching skills and solution focused interviewing skills. Ask us what is currently available.

Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement

For professionals working in, or moving into, an assessor role in vocational education and training. Achieved through completing the required combination of units covering workplace competence assessment and vocational skills assessment. Delivered at your workplace individually or in small groups.

A Note on Funding

Funding is available for some qualifications, and the picture changes across the academic year. The Level 6 Certificate in Careers Leadership has attracted CEC funding for eligible learners through the Careers and Enterprise Company. Other funding routes may apply depending on your role and organisation. We will always give you clarity on what is currently available before you commit to anything.
